Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information "AI SEO AEO Optimizer ArtinHub" (the "App"), operated by ArtinHub ("we", "us"), collects from Shopify merchants, how we use it, and the choices you have. By installing the App you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Store information provided by Shopify when you install the App: your store's myshopify.com domain, store name, plan, and the access token needed to call the Shopify Admin API.
- Store content that the App reads to perform SEO and AEO analysis: products, collections, pages, blog articles, images and their SEO fields (titles, descriptions, URLs, alt text, structured data), theme files needed for speed and SEO checks, and redirects.
- Results created by the App: audit scores and issues, generated suggestions, backups of SEO fields you changed, settings and templates you configure, and billing plan status.
- Optional connections you set up: an API key for the AI provider you choose (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, etc.) and, if you connect it, Google Search Console authorization tokens.
- Storefront 404 data: paths and referrers of broken URLs, used to suggest redirects. We do not collect shoppers' names, emails or other personal details.
We do not collect or store your customers' personal data or order data.
2. How we use information
- To run audits, generate and apply SEO/AEO improvements, and show reports.
- To write SEO data back to your store (meta tags, alt text, structured data, redirects, metafields) when you ask us to.
- To manage subscriptions through Shopify Billing and provide support.
- To keep the App secure, fix bugs and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
3. AI features and third parties
AI generation uses the API key you provide ("bring your own key"). When you use an AI feature, the relevant store content (for example a product title and description) is sent to the AI provider you selected, under your own account with that provider and subject to its privacy policy. We do not send data to an AI provider you have not configured. Your API key is stored encrypted.
If you connect Google Search Console, we request read access to your search performance and indexing data from Google, subject to Google's terms. If you use indexing features, URLs may be submitted to search engines through IndexNow. PageSpeed checks use Google's PageSpeed Insights service. Our servers are hosted by a third-party hosting provider.
4. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while the App is installed. When you uninstall the App we stop accessing your store, revoke use of your access token, and delete your store data after Shopify sends us the shop erasure request (about 48 hours after uninstall), unless we must keep limited records to meet legal obligations. Customer data requests and erasure requests from Shopify are honored, although the App does not store customer personal data.
You can also ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing us.
5. Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Access tokens, AI keys and Google tokens are stored encrypted, access to our servers is restricted, and every request from Shopify is verified (session tokens and webhook signatures). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA) you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict its processing. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
7. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our hosting and the third-party services above operate. We take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it is processed.
8. Children
The App is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest revision; material changes will be reflected here.
